Shadowban

Shadowban is a jargon word for a drop in reach without notification.

The term does not appear in the rules published by Meta or by TikTok: what these platforms publish are contents "allowed but not eligible for recommendations" on Instagram, and contents "ineligible for the For You feed" on TikTok.

So the phenomenon exists, under a different name and with published criteria.
