Section 2257

Section 2257 of title 18 of the United States Code requires whoever produces content showing sexually explicit conduct to "create and maintain individually identifiable records pertaining to every performer", with the name and date of birth checked on an identification document.

Every copy of the content must carry "a statement describing where the records required by this section may be located".

It is the American framework of proof of age.
