Who is who, and who pays whom

The Terms of Use, whose last update shown is August 2024, define three actors: the fan, the creator, and the platform, which declares that it provides a service and is not a party to the contract between the first two. The contract between fan and creator, a separate document, adds that “The Fan acknowledges that third parties may assist Creators in operating their accounts and in Creator Interactions”. It is the only public mention of a manager, and it gives him no rights: “Our relationship is with you, and not with any third-party”, the terms tell the creator.

The commission

The help center publishes a page titled “Payout percentages”: “Creators receive 80% of any Fan Payment made to them, including subscriptions, paid messages, and tips. OnlyFans retains 20% of any Fan Payment made on OnlyFans.” The Terms of Use state the same rule: “Our Fee is calculated as 20% of the total Fan Payment and will be deducted from each Fan Payment.” The contract between fan and creator calls it the “FIL Fee” and defines it as “the 20% of all Fan Payments charged to Creators”.

A single rate, on everything, with no published tier. The tool /tools/net-after-commission/ applies this rate to any amount.

How the fan pays

The page “How do I make a payment on OnlyFans?” states that you must have “added a valid payment card” and that “OnlyFans accepts the majority of payment cards”. The terms add that a fan can prepay a balance, the “Wallet Credits”, which are “non-refundable”. Everything is in dollars: “All prices appear, and are charged, in USD. Payment providers may charge currency conversion fees.”

No other payment method is published on these pages at the reading date. A fan in Europe therefore pays by card, in dollars, with a conversion by his bank.

How the creator is paid

Three published facts.

The minimum withdrawal. “The minimum withdrawal amount depends on your chosen payout method. For most payout methods, it is $20.” The available methods “depend on where you live”; they are not listed on the public page.

The delay. “Your Pending Balance is the amount that you have earned on OnlyFans during the last 7 days.” For most creators, “after 7 days, your Pending Earnings will be moved to your Current Balance and can then be paid out to you”. Creators “in a small number of countries that have a high level of reversed transactions” have a 21-day delay, brought down to 7 “after four months from their first earned transaction”.

Currency and chargebacks. “All Fan Payments and Creator Earnings are transacted in USD.” If a fan obtains a refund or a chargeback, “the amount will be removed from the Creator’s income”, and the platform states that it “cannot prevent a Fan from issuing a chargeback request”.

Identity verification

To open a creator account, the terms require to “Upload a valid form of ID and two photos of you”, to add a bank account or a payment method, to choose a payout method, and to “Submit additional age or identity verification information any time we ask for it”. The help center sums it up: “you must be at least 18 years old” and provide “certain information to confirm your age and identity”, which “may vary depending on where you live”. The fan must also be 18.

Any person appearing in content with the creator must be “at least 18 years of age” and have given “proof of identity” and “written, informed consent”. A creator profile can link “A maximum of three Creator accounts”.

What is prohibited

The Acceptable Use Policy, last update shown September 2025, lists what the platform does not allow. The main points, in a faithful summary: anyone under 18; any adult in explicit content without having completed creator onboarding or provided a release form; illegal activities, actual, claimed or role-played, including incest, bestiality, rape and the promotion of terrorism; weapons and controlled substances used in a harmful way; hate; harassment, including the sharing of “non-consensual, fake or manipulated intimate images”; violence, with a list of named practices; certain bodily fluids; “Inaccurate information including misleading descriptions of media or account information”; any explicit image of another person without consent, “including an artificially generated image”; public nudity; “Prohibited cyber activity including spamming”, the sharing of personal data, links to external storage sites; copying content, “including scraping”; in-person meetings; and prohibited commercial activity.

Two complementary rules. The terms require that “AI Generated content must comply with our Terms of Service and must be clearly and conspicuously captioned as AI Generated Content with a signifier such as #ai, or #AIGenerated”. The dedicated help page states that such content must “clearly” feature “the verified Creator”.

The AI chatbot rule

It appears neither in the Terms of Use, nor in the Acceptable Use Policy, nor in the contract between fan and creator. It lives in the help center, which the terms incorporate under the name “Community Guidelines”.

At the reading date, the page titled “Can I use an AI chatbot on OnlyFans?” says exactly this:

“OnlyFans does not offer an internal AI chatbot tool for Creators. OnlyFans does not have a public facing API and Creators may not directly integrate AI chat bots into the OnlyFans platform.”

The chronology published by OnlyChat on September 13, 2026, from third-party archives, traces the evolution of this page. On April 5, 2024, a press article mentions a prohibition without citing its source. On July 30, 2024, a wire story quotes the wording most repeated since: “You cannot use an AI chatbot to write chats or direct messages”. On January 21, 2026, a third-party copy of the help page still carries this text: “No. You cannot use an AI chatbot to write chats or direct messages on OnlyFans.” On September 13, 2026, the text online is the one quoted above, which speaks of direct integration and the absence of a public interface.

This course draws no compliance conclusion for any tool. It records what the page says today, what it used to say, and that the only document that mentions it is a help page, changeable without notice. The lesson on AI chatting in the chatting module takes this point up from the tools’ side.

The sales features

The terms define a “Creator Interaction” as “an interaction on OnlyFans that grants access to a Creator’s Content, including: (i) a Subscription; (ii) a payment for pay-per-view Content; and (iii) any other interaction or payment between a User and a Creator’s account or Content, including direct messages”. The help center puts a figure on each one.

These limits bound the price ladder described in the chatting module: a tier does not exceed $100 per message, and the fan who wants to give more goes through the tip, itself capped.

What the platform does not publish

Three points on which this course will say nothing more than the platform. The payout methods available per country, not listed publicly. The criteria for closing an account, beyond the prohibitions cited. And any rule on third-party management tools, apart from the help page on chatbots.
